If you strongly feel you have the religious calling but your parents wouldn’t give their permission, would you still do it? Being a predominantly Catholic country, would there be Filipino parents who would not allow their children to be priests or nuns? What could possibly be their reasons?

In my city in humble and poor neighborhoods, the priests (catholics, we are catholics)are always communists It´s curious, in the spanish civil war (1936) the communists killed priests and raped nuns What about that in USA? Too?
